Project Background

Suzhou Bihe Electric Taicang Co., Ltd. specializes in the manufacturing of precision cooling components used in modern thermal management systems. Their products include liquid cooling cold plates and fluid distribution components used in power electronics and high-performance equipment.

Because cold plates contain internal micro-channels and multiple welded joints, ensuring absolute sealing reliability is critical. Even extremely small leaks can cause coolant loss, reduce heat dissipation efficiency, and lead to long-term reliability problems in liquid cooling systems.

Previously, the customer relied mainly on traditional leak testing methods such as water immersion testing. However, as product standards increased and customers required stricter quality control, these methods were no longer sufficient to detect micro-leaks.

To meet higher quality requirements, the customer decided to upgrade to a helium leak testing solution.

Our Helium Leak Detection Solution

We provided a helium mass spectrometer leak detector system designed specifically for cold plate testing. The system integrates a vacuum chamber helium leak test method, which allows extremely small leaks to be detected with high sensitivity.

Testing process:

  1. The cold plate is placed inside a vacuum chamber.

  2. The component is pressurized with helium as a tracer gas.

  3. The chamber is evacuated and monitored by a detector de fugas de helio.

  4. Any escaping helium is detected by the mass spectrometer, allowing precise leak measurement.
